MKA Planning have successfully resolved an ongoing planning enforcement case at a farm in Limavady dating back to 2008.
MKA Planning have obtained a Certificate of Lawful Development for retention of 21 steel shipping containers used for domestic and commercial self storage at an existing farm complex at Broighter Road, Limavady.
MKA Planning had previously obtained planning permission in 2012 for the retrospective change of use of 11 existing farm buildings to B1 business use/storage at the farm complex. Both the farm shed and shipping containers are now used primarily for storage / business use.
MKA submitted evidence to the Department showing that the storage containers had been on site for more than 5 years and had been continuously used for self storage and were therefore now immune from any enforcement action.
This permission now resolves planning enforcement issues at the site and allows the owner to continue with their business activities.
If you have planning enforcement issues on your farm yard or business premises contact Matt or one of the MKA Team at 02871311551.
