MKA Planning have successfully obtained planning permission for a farm dwelling on Fincarin Road for a private client.
This planning application for a farm dwelling took over two years due to the change in the definition of active farming as set out by Policy CTY 10 in PPS 21. The Applicant ceased getting Single Farm Payments in 2013 and was required to prove active farming by the Council before they would grant permission.
Council also raised issues in relation to siting and wanted the site located to the front of the existing cluster underneath electric pylons and expressed concerns about ribbon development along the public road. However, MKA Planning were able to overcome Council concerns and achieving siting where the Client desired it.
