Paintballing Centre Approved Campsie Karting Centre, Derry.

MKA Planning Ltd have successfully obtained permission for a Paintballing Arena at the existing Campsie Karting Centre, which MKA had also formerly secured approval for in 2011.

The original permission for the karting centre located at Campsie Industrial Estate allowed for the change of use from part of the vacant bonded warehouse  into a sporting karting centre and sub division of remaining floor space into 3 no. light industrial units.

At that time, MKA were able to overcome Planning Service’s concerns in relation to loss of industrial floorspace, incompatibility with adjoining industrial users, contamination and traffic issues.

The Paintballing proposal has now resulted in a further loss of industrial floorspace as it extends into part of the approved light industrial units.  Again, MKA were able to demonstrate that there was little or no demand for the remaining industrial floor space in this area. The new Paintballing Arena will now compliment the leisure use in Campsie Karting which has now been operating for the past 2 ½ years.

It is Northern Ireland’s newest and most exciting indoor kart racing circuit.

The facility now boasts a 4* Northern Ireland Tourist Board Rating  and has built a substantial customer base with persons arriving from all over the North West, Ireland and the UK to race at this purpose built facility.

If you have any tourism or leisure proposals contact Matt or one of the MKA Team at 02871311551 to discuss your options.
